Undertale Complete Map - The End

Undertale is one of those discoveries that hurdles you into an intricate, seemingly endless rabbit hole. (It resembles Homestuck in this way, which I feel inclined to mention, and brings about both joy and fear to me in the same way said webcomic does, though other than that the two have little in common, so I’ll end this argument before it erupts.) It’s one of those outlets that are so beautiful and complete, impressive and satisfying all by itself, and needs little more extrapolation from its audience. What’s more, Undertale is a journey that is well deserving to be taken twice, or many more if the player desires, and certainly is in most cases. It’s a journey that I’ve done almost nothing but enjoyed --

(though I really, REALLY hated Flowey’s boss battle...both because of how ridiculous the attacks were - though not extremely difficult, just infuriating and aesthetically unappealing - and just the break in what was a beautiful, simple art style that a pixel art fan could appreciate. I also found Asriel’s final boss battle just a tiny bit sappy, but I loved it nonetheless, especially because it was the literal definition of determination without all the unnecessary frustration that came with previous bosses. The only thing I wish could have happened was Toriel and Asgore falling back in love ;_

I feel like I could declare, despite only having experienced this happiness over the course of a couple days (because yes, I was just that addicted), that Undertale deserves a spot right at the top of my list of favorite “things” (for lack of a better term).

Undeniably the BEST $10 I’VE EVER SPENT.
